In my first pillar I discussed about visitor’s landing & qualified Leads. To generate a qualified Leads a marketer should have enough knowledge on Customer’s Journey. (Visitor’s & Customer’s are the same notable words here). 


If I give an example regarding a flight United Kingdom to United States of America, we will have to find one common usual thing. I know you are thinking about what is that? It is very easy to find and guess. After landing every passenger look for a “Taxi” or Car”. So I will talk about (1) Mr. Bean (2) Jerry (3) Charlie Chaplin who just arrived/landed in JFK (United States of America).

Passenger- 1: Mr. Bean still not sure how to get out from Airport. (Looking to be engaged)

Passenger-2: Jerry already contacted with a couple of transportation service but way to which one he will choose. (Engaged with you as well as your competitors)

Passenger-3: Charlie choose a service but trying to know more about the service like which route driver will use, how about the comfort label of seat, what about the driver’s driving experience label, how is the secure label of car’s break points, what about the time to reach to destination etc. (Engaged with you but decision less)

So from above example, we found 3 stage of summary and they are as follows:

  • Awareness
  • Consideration
  • Decision
Now let’s go back to our previous discussion. As a marketer or business owner, you should have enough knowledge about a customer’s journey stages stated above.

Now think about the 3 stages. Remember again of them as it is important part of optimizing your campaign costs for your leads. It’s time to cut the costs and driving effective leads. I will shortly focus about the 3 stages again.

Awareness

In this kind of stage, a customer is feeling products or his/her wants of it. This stage of customers is not interested to buy at this stage immediately.

Consideration

In this stage, a customer already defined what is his need or demand. But seems, she/he is looking for more information about the products or any other services. Generally customers of this stage, likes to compare different products and try to find which one they match perfect.

Decision

In this stage, customers can be defined that already engaged with you but looking for more information about your product and company.

Now, you should have different label of high quality content for your website for the each stage of Customer’s Journey. As stated above, you should not send a sales lead to Awareness Stage’s customers because they are not interested to purchase your products or service at this moment. If you do that, it will increase your campaign costs rather than effective sales.

Same as you should not send Awareness Stage’s Lead to the Consideration stage’s customers. It will also bring a same result like previous. And this is the brutal true in inbound marketing.

At the last you should not send Decision stage’s leads to the others two stages. Now questions are how we should define each stage’s leads. 

Remember: if you have a dept understanding about 3 stages customers + you have a high quality of Contents, organic Leads can be accumulated of 37x time than paid campaign leads
A specific audience who interested for a specific product may not live in online always, but for a specific product interested by a specific Audience may search in web for that product at any time.
